2.What is E-GuideTV?

E-GuideTV is a real-time customized television channel guide to engage viewers and keep them in the know with up-to-date TV listings, local and national advertisements, and the local time and date.

3.Where can I see E-GuideTV?

Currently, E-GuideTV can be found in hotels across the nation. Additionally, E-GuideTV is rolling out in hospitals, multi-dwelling units, military bases, assisted living facilities, universities, cruise lines, and more!

Advertisements can be shown on the four different adZones on E-GuideTV.

9.Where will my ad/commercial be shown?

Advertisements can run on a local, regional, and national basis. Your run schedule can be fully customized to fit your targeted advertising needs.

10.What is the adBoard?

The adBoard is a static advertisement displayed above the local TV listings. Advertisements are displayed in 15, 30, and 60-second increments and rotate hourly giving the advertiser up to 24 spots per day, 168 spots per week, and 672 spots per month! (Ex. In a 100 room property, your ad is displayed 2,400 times per day, 16,800 times per week, and 67,200 times per month.)

11.What is the adView?

The adView is designed for 15, 30, and 60-second commercials and is displayed directly above the TV listings with full sight, sound, motion and color. Advertisements rotate hourly giving the advertiser up to 24 spots per day, 168 spots per week, and 672 spots per month! (Ex. In a 100 room property, your ad is displayed 2,400 times per day, 16,800 times per week, and 67,200 times per month.)

12.What is the adBanner?

The adBanner is a static advertisement that appears at the beginning of the scrolling TV listings. Shown approximately every 2-3 minutes the adBanner is prime screen positioning with 480, 10-second spots per day, 3,360 spots per week, and over 13,440 spots per month! (Ex. In a 100 room property, your ad is displayed 48,000 times per day, 336,000 times per week, and more than 1,344,000 times per month.)

13.What is the adText?

The adText provides eye-catching text promotions moving right to left directly below the TV listings of the E-GuideTV screen. Promote your products, services, businesses, events, and amenities using text!

14.How many of my spots will run in each room, per day?

  1. adBoard: 144 spots per room, per day. Six (6) spot per hour
  2. adView: 144 spots per room, per day. Six (6) spot per hour
  3. adBanner: 720 spots per room, per day; Spot runs every 2-3 minutes
  4. adText: 1,440 text spots per room, per day; One (1) spot every minute

16.How often are the TV listings and advertisement content updated?

E-GuideTV is updated on a nightly basis using a remote internet connection on a property-by-property basis.

17.What plays on the E-GuideTV screen?

In addition to channel programming information, E-GuideTV displays the local date and time, property logo, travel trivia, bloopers, funny videos, and more alongside your advertisements. These key components attract each viewer back to E-GuideTV seeing your ads time and time again!

18.How do I know that my advertisements are running during prime viewing periods?

You are sure to be seen during prime viewing periods because E-GuideTV rotates advertisements and commercials on an hourly basis, 24 times per day.

19.How many people actually watch my ad?

Daily TV program schedules and your advertising appears in each guest room at no cost. The American Hotel & Lodging Association's research reports 98% of guests report watching television services. E-GuideTV is visited by hotel guests each time they turn on the television. Subsequently the hotel guest visits E-GuideTV regularly to search for preferred programming. Because advertisements and commercials shown on E-GuideTV revolve once an hour, your advertisement is watched multiple times by each hotel guest on a daily basis.

20.What is the lead time for ordering commercial air-time and delivering content materials?

Advertising inventory is available on a first come, first served basis. Time is purchased on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis. See the File Delivery & Payment Schedule in our Media Kit.

21.How quickly can my ads be up and running?

Each advertiser must anticipate a 14-day lead time. However, this can vary for each advertiser and will be established between you and your account executive.

22.Is there a commercial acceptance procedure for ads appearing on E-GuideTV ?

EGS retains the rights for approval on all advertising, entertainment material, and content that appears on E-GuideTV. EGS does not accept or submit ads that are explicit or distasteful. The approval process is built into the lead time for materials. Generally, advertising predicted to appear on primetime broadcast network television is acceptable; however, there are certain subjects that hoteliers and guests are not comfortable seeing. Discuss this with your account executive if you are unsure of your product's acceptability.

23.Can I advertise on E-GuideTV for only one day?

Yes, the minimum advertising commitment is one day, however premium rates may apply and must be paid in full prior to air date.

24.What if I am interested in my advertisements running more frequently on E-GuideTV?

25.How do I renew my advertisements on E-GuideTV?

26.What verification do I receive assuring my commercial runs as ordered?

Every month E-GuideTV will provide advertisers with an invoice showing where and when their commercials run, and an affidavit, when it is required, for verification that the commercials appeared at each property.

27.How can I reach my target audience?

E-GuideTV allows advertisers to target E-GuideTV's captive audience by property, brand, DMA, city, state, region, flagship, room rating, and more. With our platform flexibility, advertisers can build effective reach quickly and deliver the ROI they need at the lowest CPM rate available.

28.How can I customize my run schedule?

E-GuideTV allows you to customize your run schedule by day, week, month and more, giving you flexibility you desire.

29.Does E-GuideTV support advertisers with ad creation?

Yes, the creative team at E-GuideTV is happy to assist you for maximum effectiveness on E-GuideTV. Creative charges will apply.

30.What are the formatting requirements for my ad?

31.Do you have any helpful hints for ad creation?

32.How do I submit my ads?

Ads can be submitted three ways: online, e-mail, or overnight delivery. Please see the File Delivery page on www.egstv.com for further details.

33.When is advertising artwork due?

Artwork is due fourteen (14) business days prior to the Ad Run Date. If the materials due date falls on a non-business day, materials are due the preceding business day. Late artwork will be assessed a late charge. EGS is not responsible for any errors on ads that receive client approval or are submitted as final artwork by the client. EGS will run the same ad unless the advertiser provides new artwork by the required deadline.

34.Will EGS provide proofs of artwork for approval?

EGS will provide final proofs for your approval. Once your advertisement or commercial is approved it is placed in cue for its designated run dates and can no longer be edited or modified.

35.Can I make changes to my advertisement after I have approved it?

Yes, if you need to make changes after your ad has been approved, please contact EGS advertising immediately at advertising@egstv.com.

36.What are E-GuideTV's advertising rates?

Rates vary for each available adZone. Please contact your account executive, call 1-866-680-1764 e-mail advertising@egstv.com, or request Ad Rates on our Rate Card Request form.

37.How does the billing process work?

The first month's payment for reservation of space is due upon signing. Subsequent ad payments are due 30 days prior to the 1st day of the advertisement being run E-GuideTV.

38.What payment types are accepted?

EGS accepts: Visa, MasterCard, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, or Corporate Checks. No cash will be accepted.

39.What is the ad approval process?

EGS reserves the right to refuse any advertisement for any reason, E-GuideTV features only "family oriented" advertising. Please see our Advertising Standards for further details.

40.Who do I contact if I notice something is wrong with my ad?

Please contact your account executive and they will notify the E-GuideTV technical support team to ensure the problem is corrected. Your account executive will notify you when the change has been made. Please note if the problem occurred after your approval, EGS is no longer responsible for any errors, and any changes needed to be made may be subject to service fees.

41.What happens if I miss the ad insertion due date?

Your ad will not run on the scheduled date and you may be assessed a late charge. The run-date and/or any additional fees will need to be rescheduled with your account executive.

42.What happens if I am late on my payment and/or miss a payment for my advertisement?

Invoices past due 30 days will be assessed a monthly late fee. For invoices past due more than 60 days, an additional late fee will be charged to your account. Failure to pay within 90 days will nullify all rate/position protection and serve as a cancellation of your contract, requiring immediate payment of the remaining contract term.
